Ministry of Tourism and Turkish TIKA collaborate to preserve cultural heritage in Gharyan
Efforts to safeguard Gharyan's cultural heritage have gained momentum as the Ministry of Tourism, in partnership with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), seeks to revitalise the city's historical treasures.
Minister of Tourism and Traditional Industries Nasr Al-Din Al-Fazani convened with Gharyan's municipal leaders to explore avenues for enhancing tourism and preserving the city's cultural legacy.
Libyan Central Bank starts Article IV consultations with IMF
The Central Bank of Libya (CBL) announced the beginning of "Article IV" consultations for 2024 with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), on Wednesday morning, at the IMF's headquarters in Washington D.C.
The CBL said on its Facebook page that consultations with the IMF would continue for ten days to evaluate the general economic and financial situation and the policies and measures taken in Libya in 2023.
North Africa Classic Car Show
The first show for classic car owners in North Africa was held in Tripoli by Tripoli Classic Car Club, in the presence of the mayor of the central municipality of Tripoli, the ambassadors of Algeria and Mexico in Libya, and classic cars fans.

State of emergency declared in Kufra as displaced population brings disease outbreak
The Director of Kufra Teaching Hospital, Ismail Al-Ayda, has expressed concern about the spread of infectious diseases among displaced individuals arriving from Sudan to Kufra. He noted that the Ministry of Health has declared a state of emergency in response to this situation.
Al-Ayda described the health situation in the city as extremely critical, highlighting that a significant number of displaced individuals are suffering from infectious and potentially life-threatening diseases such as tuberculosis, AIDS, viral hepatitis, malaria, and various skin conditions.
